Workplace wellbeing

The workplace should be an ideal location to develop mental health initiatives, however, most mental health programs currently used in Australian workplaces are not evidence-based, cannot be implemented on a large scale or do not meet the requirements of male-dominated industries.

The emerging knowledge surrounding the unique characteristics of male-dominated workplaces together with recent developments in e-health and mental health prevention provides a rare opportunity to develop a radically new type of mental health program. The proposed Well@Work program is based on a game changing approach that incorporates the latest technology to provide mental health screening and interventions in an individually tailored way.

If you would like to get further information about the role that the workplace can play in well-being, here is a report that our research team has written on this topic.
